We were pleased to be selected for a commissioned sculptural artwork of Mt. Rainier National Park to be adapted to a functional porcelain souvenir mug.  We used a variety of photographs supplied by the concessionaire and created a two-dimensional PDF artwork proof of several concepts for the buyer's approval.

Sculpting a Master Design

Once the PDF is approved via e-mail, we begin the process of interpreting the artwork into a sculptural relief which is then applied to the mug's master mold.  The technical details that are involved in the translation include configuring the art to account for the complex curvature of the mug's surface.

Handcrafted in the USA

After the sculpture is complete, master mold cast, and production molds dried, we are able to slip cast porcelain mugs that each match the original sculpted artwork.  Each souvenir mug is fully functional, dishwasher safe, and microwave safe.

All of our products are handmade in our Salem, Oregon studio.
